With our essential oils, we have the same uncompromising standards. First off, we use only the highest grades available and that are Pure, Natural and Safe™.  Almost all of our oils are undiluted and do not contain carrier oils. This means they have the highest potency and you need to use only a few drops each time. You can learn more about our ingredient policy at Why We Are Different.

Why Essential Oils?

Intensely nutritious Australian super fruits are ideal for skin care. We combine unique super fruits with the highest quality essential oils. (You can read more here: Do Essential Oils Work for Skin Care?)

Because our skin care products contain essential oils, it's a natural step to offer the oils in a separate product line. This way, our customers can enjoy additional physical and emotional benefits.

Our skin care gives you the best skin of your life. Australiana Botanicals essential oils can help give you the best health of your life: mind, body, and spirit.

Botanical Wonders From Australia

Our line of essential oils includes the favorites we use in our skin care PLUS dozens more. As with our skin care line, our essential oils line features Australia-sourced oils made from some of the most potent plants on earth. Australia’s flora has evolved quite differently that the rest of the world and its essential oils are no different. Rich, powerful and smell gorgeous.

We are especially excited about the oils formulated from recently discovered Australian botanicals. These include Kunzea and Nerolina. Our pure Lavender and Blue Mallee Eucalyptus are Aussie grown and considered the best in the world by those in the know.  While our Manuka oil comes from New Zealand it is now made famous the world over by the incredibly beneficial Manuka honey.

New to Essential Oils?

If you know anything about alternative medicine or holistic health, you have no doubt heard about essential oils. In the past ten years or so, they have exploded in popularity. But unlike gimmicky health trends, essential oils aren't going away. Why? Because people love what they do for them!

And, by the way, they aren't new. Essential oils (called by a variety of names) were a therapeutic staple in many ancient cultures. There are even hundreds of references in the Bible.

What Is An Essential Oil?

An essential oil is a highly concentrated, aromatic oil. Essential oils are extracted from plants, usually through distillation. Flowers, bark, fruits, leaves, roots, resins, and peels are the plant parts used to extract oil. The term “essential” refers to the fact that the oil contains the “essence” of the plant.

How Do You Use Essential Oils?

Essential oils can be used therapeutically in three ways: applied topically to the skin, ingested, or inhaled. When inhaled, they are used as an agent for aromatherapy. (Some vendors call their essential oils “aromatherapy oils.”)

IMPORTANT NOTE: Don't attempt to ingest them unless a professional healthcare provider with training in essential oils is advising you.

Essential oils are highly concentrated. It's important to use a carrier oil (or water) to dilute them prior to use.

Methods For Inhaling Essential Oils

There are a couple different ways to inhale diluted essential oils. You can add them to a bowl of steamy water or spray them from a spray bottle. Some people soak in essential oil-infused bath water. You may have seen simple reed infusers that consist of a jar or bowl with several reeds poking out.

The Australiana Botanicals Diffuser

The most convenient way to inhale them is with a powered essential oil diffuser. We offer an ultrasonic diffuser to vaporize our oils. Our diffuser disperses the diluted oil into the air without using heat. This is important. Cold vaporization retains the potency (and, therefore, effectiveness) of the oil. Check out our diffuser. It’s so sleek and beautiful our customers liken it to a stylish vase or piece of artwork displayed on a table, counter, or shelf. (That’s exactly what we were going for when we designed it! We are thrilled that our customers love it.)

What Do You Use Essential Oils For?

A better question might be “What don’t you use them for?”

Here are just a few of the ailments and conditions that can be treated with essential oils:

  • Pain
  • Inflammation
  • Depression
  • Viruses
  • Wound care
  • Low energy
  • Anxiety
  • Insomnia
  • Low libido
  • Hormone imbalance
  • Low immunity
  • Infections
  • Digestive disorders
In the next few weeks and months, we will dedicate a blog post to each essential oil in our collection. We will give you specifics on how to use them most effectively.

Stay tuned!
